Mercury in Gatorade once more.

October 31, 2019

Halloween and Mercury Retrograde?? What a treat! Seriously, double the trouble.

Mercury in Retrograde aka Mercury in Gatorade aka the most dreaded time(s) of the year.

As we enter a new month as Mercury goes into Gatorade..or whatever, this is a prime time for self-reflection and awareness. We must make space for miscommunication, travel delays, and general malfunctions. I know we’re all preparing safety kits, and double-checking our mental and emotional reinforcement checklists for the following months; preparing for this epic novel of blunders and woes, BUT this is really a time to be more patient and compassionate towards others and situations that are not in our favor. It’s a time to create a more productive mindset about Retrograde. It’s extremely difficult to sympathize with those who have wronged us, or are currently wronging us. Remember : Anger is the ultimate form of entitlement. It’s too easy to expend our energy explaining to someone else WHY they’re wrong, when really, most people do not have the capacity to let go of their egos. To understand someone, one must have a level of agreement, and why waste your energy explaining yourself to someone who is committed to misunderstanding you?

My point is - Stay in your lane and stay indoors these next few months. Spend time with yourself, like REALLY spend time with yourself. Pick up a new hobby, revisit old hobbies. Go on an internal adventure. Heal what is hurting because as uncomfortable as it is to pick at your flaws, it is a form of acceptance, and acceptance is the ultimate form of self-love. Face your shortcomings, not only for yourself, but for your current and future friendships and relationships.

I want to end this month on a positive note, highlighting October's two Birthstones : Tourmaline and Opal.

Tourmaline is believed to promote inspiration and happiness, reduce fear, and build self-confidence among its users. It's also used to balance yin-yang energies, as it's considered a physical bridge to the spiritual. Tourmaline comes in a variety of colors, the most common being black. It also comes in pink to red, blues, yellows, browns, greens, oranges, and then a combination of two or more of these colors. This is referred to as the rainbow tourmaline. The energies within the crystals differ depending on the colors. Attracting inspiration: Some believe tourmaline helps to clear, maintain, and stimulate each of the energy centers. It attracts inspiration. It will diminish people's fears by bringing understanding and encourages self-confidence.

Opal amplifies traits, whether those traits are good or bad, and brings characteristics to the surface for transformation. It enhances self-worth, confidence and self-esteem, and helps you to understand your full potential. It also brings lightness and spontaneity. The stone is said to help stimulate originality and dynamic creativity, encourages an interest in the arts, and aids in accessing one’s true self. Because the stone is absorbent and reflective, it helps you to pick up thoughts and feelings, amplify them, and return them to their source. It is a karmic stone- it encourages putting out positive emotions and teaches that what you put out comes back to you. The opal is also a representative of justice and harmony, and is a protective stone in dangerous places. Opal has always been associated with love and passion, as well as desire and eroticism. It is a seductive stone that intensifies emotional states and releases inhibitions. It can also act as an emotional stabilizer. Wearing an opal is said to bring about loyalty and faithfulness.

Wrist / Ankle Measurement
- It is important for us to make your bracelet or anklet to fit exactly where you want it.-
(*For anklet buyers, you may measure your ankle just the same way as you measure your wrists.)
Measuring around your wrist or ankle is different than measuring a bracelet or anklet from end to end lengthwise.
Please note: Different bead sizes affect the the measurement of your bracelet lengthwise. Regardless of bead size, the inside circumference of your bracelet is all the same.

Here's how to measure your wrist: Wrap around your wrist using a thin flexible measuring tape, and measure where you would like to wear your bracelet
*No need to add extra length. We add close to a 1/4 inch to each bracelet for your comfort.

NO MEASURING TAPE?
No problem!

If you don't have a flexible measuring tape handy, you may use a strip of thin paper or a thin string (be sure they are thin). Wrap and mark where it overlaps on your wrist, and then lay the strip or string flat to measure up to the mark using a standard ruler.
