The hustle is exhausting.
Time - It's an overwhelming experience. It's universal. It's unforgiving. It's generous.
Every morning, I wake up and literally pause to think about how another day has gone, and about the simple concept of aging. I have constant anxiety about it, and I know I'm not alone.
I suppose working + prioritizing is a part of growing up and maturing. Some things tend to become more important than socializing. I didn't want to believe that there would be a time when going out to your favorite bars and restaurants becomes an old routine, but it happened. Those who are on the same wavelength as you will understand, so when there's time to link up, it's as if no time has passed. Staying home, recuperating, reflecting, and picking up a new hobby becomes a lot more fulfilling.
I recently read a book that changed my life - "The Practicing Mind" by Thomas M. Sterner. I particularly resonated with the part explaining a flower's growth. A flower does not question if it's better than other flowers. It is not concerned with the surrounding flowers' growth and success. It simply grows at its own pace. The progression is silent, unannounced, but ever present. The flower simply is.
"We never lose our demons. We only learn to live above them." - The Ancient One, Doctor Strange, Marvel Comics 1963
Being mindful leads leads to self-compassion, and that forgiveness is key.

My friends are getting now married and expanding their families, while my main priority is writing this blog, and my recently bookmarked breakfast recipe. That's the thing. We're always going to feel behind in life, and the flower metaphor is the paradox.
Here's the takeaway: The optimum way to combat this particular anxiety with time may seem counterintuitive at first, but you’ll soon realize it’s extremely effective. It is to simply live minute by minute, and to focus on what we're doing precisely at this very moment. When you start actively paying attention to everything you do, nothing you do in life will be a waste. Why? Because you’re appreciative - you open yourself up to opportunities to learn. Take deep and conscious breaths from the second you wake up to the moment you go to sleep. It's not called the "practicing" mind for nothing! Take a moment to hone in on a better future, and everything negative will melt away because you have something to work towards. Everyday will be a struggle to overcome certain obstacles, so go with the flow of where life decides to take you.
Gem and Silver's healing gemstones are my small corners of comfort. They help me find mental clarity, and present moment awareness. Each stone and crystal reminds me to be mindful. Whether it be mentally or physically, they excavate a happy place that would otherwise be buried in my anxiety.
KEEP CALM IN THE HUSTLE.
